Course Name: Consumer Research and Analysis (CS201)Course Objectives:

  • Students will be able to demonstrate that they are informed consumers of consumer and social statistics.
  • Students will be able to think critically about the use of data, summarize the ways researchers gather information/data related to their research objectives
  • Students will be able to describe the ethical issues that may arise throughout the research process.
  • Students will be able to identify research methods and implement the most appropriate method for a given research question.
  • Students will be able to demonstrate competency with computer software (MS Excel) by computing and presenting descriptive statistics.
  • Students will list the steps of hypothesis testing and describe the data analysis tasks to appropriate test a given hypothesis.
  • Student will effectively communicate research and data analysis results through written communication.
