New Challenges for Active Learning

In fall 2013, researchers at Case Western Reserve University1 developed an active learning initiative, through which a group of 12 faculty members participated in a year-long Active Learning Fellowship (ALF). As a part of the ALF, these faculty members either created a new class or restructured a previously taught class to include active learning techniques with the goal of increasing student engagement and success.
